A 56-year-old male came for a complaint of defective vision in both eyes. He was using lubricating eye drops in both eyes. On examination, he was found to have Lattice dystrophy in both eyes.
There was a lesion of spheroidal degeneration also over the cornea, but the lattice was very much evident on retro illumination.
It was planned to do DALK surgery. Here is a small video of DALK:
Immediately after the surgery, the cornea was fairly clear. You can see the air bubble in the anterior chamber.
This is the 1-week post-op stained picture to show the symmetry of sutures.
After 2 months, the cornea became very clear and compact. The patient has a cataractous change, which can be dealt with later. Here is the Pre-Post comparison picture:
